Paint Cracking

The paint on the roof of my car is cracking and I have noticed few areas started to peel. Has anyone got any suggestions on what I could to, to help/prevent it from getting any worse, without getting a paint job done. Thanks Dave :thumbs_up:

Mine's the same, the lacquer is flaking off like it's got sunburn. The base coat is fine.

This is invariably due to that part of the car having been re-painted after leaving the factory for one reason or another .. It doesnt happen with factory paint ..

Volvo paint is amongst the best in the world , well the older models for sure . 30 year old volvos have a multitude of layers of paints and primers and enough thickness of paint to T cut many many times if necessary . Volvo Metallic paint over 30 years old is still as good as new if looked after and the base metal is good .
